Kuwait Steel Joins National Arfaj Flower Campaign to Honor Kuwait’s Frontline Heroes

As part of its ongoing commitment to community engagement and corporate social responsibility, Kuwait Steel proudly participated in the Arfaj Campaign, a nationwide initiative dedicated to honoring Kuwait’s frontline heroes across the military, police, medical, and civil defense sectors. The campaign celebrates the resilience, dedication, and sacrifices of those who work tirelessly to safeguard the nation.

Kuwait Steel’s participation included both an internal employee engagement program and a public activation at Al Andalus Mall, where visitors were invited to express their appreciation for frontline heroes through an interactive message wall. Members of the public shared heartfelt messages of gratitude, creating a meaningful connection between the community and the individuals who serve and protect Kuwait every day.

A key highlight of the campaign was a special tribute to a member of the Mina Abdullah Fire Station. Kuwait Steel presented a custom commemorative trophy and a framed collection of appreciation messages gathered from the public, recognizing the courage and dedication displayed by frontline personnel in serving the community. The tribute was also documented and shared through Kuwait Steel’s social media platforms to extend its impact beyond the event.

The initiative generated strong public engagement, enhanced brand visibility, and reinforced Kuwait Steel’s alignment with national values and community-driven causes. By participating alongside government and private sector organizations, Kuwait Steel reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote appreciation, unity, and social responsibility across Kuwait.

Employees from various departments actively supported the initiative by wearing the symbolic Al Arfaj flower badge, demonstrating solidarity with the campaign’s message of resilience and national pride.

Taking Recycling Beyond Our Walls

As part of our commitment to Kuwait's circular economy, Kuwait Steel launched a community metal collection initiative — bringing our recycling mission beyond the walls of our facility and directly into the hands of the public.

During our participation in the Kuwait Sustainability Event (KSE) at Murouj, we set up a dedicated metal collection activation where members of the public were invited to drop off unwanted metal items. Every piece collected feeds directly into our recycling process — given a second life as high-quality steel that goes on to build Kuwait's roads, bridges, and homes.

This initiative is a direct expression of who we are. Kuwait Steel was built on the principle that nothing should go to waste — that scrap has value, that recycling creates jobs, and that a cleaner Kuwait is one where materials are reused rather than discarded.

We are proud to take this message to the community, and we look forward to expanding this initiative in the years ahead.
